I started with painting last year trying to work out all the pain
that was inside me. I have always written poems before, and
still do, but I can't translate them to English.
September 17. 1997 we went to court as witnesses
for our daughter against the man that abused her.
There has already been one trial where he was jugded
to jail, but he appealed so this is the second trial.
I hope you all will think of us that day.
A lot of people have told us that they would pray for us that day, and we are very glad for all the support
you all showed us by telling us that you would pray for us and think
about us that day.
It did not turn out so good for us. This day there were 3 different judges and four people liek you and I that should decide if this man was guilty or not. The "jury" the four private people said he was not...
the judges said he was, but......since there were four to three, he now is a free man.
And we don't know what to do next cause the case is now closed.
I live in a small country (Norway), and every day either in the
news on TV or in the Radio I can hear about children who have been
abused by a pedophile
And if I open the newspaper I can read about it there. EVERY DAY!!!
Here. And all over the world the news come from, There are cases
in Spain, Last summer it was in the Netherlands, children are abused
and killed
There are about 4,4 million citizens in Norway.
This summer a five year old boy was kidnapped when he played outside
his home.
The police stopped the car after abut two hours hunt.
But the boy had already been violated by the man who kidnapped him.
This year a teenage girl took her life. She had been used by a pedophile
since she was a little girl.
She was a brave girl and when the man moved into her neighborhood
she left small messages with her signature to every neighbor and warned
them
that there was a pedophile among them.
A while after we could read that she was not with us any more.
From all over the world there are stories of horror
and pain. And I feel so sick cause I'm not able to do anything
to stop it.
